A storage friendly 20 m2 apartment with the ingenuity of multifunctional furniture to maximize the use of space such as a Murphy bed (becomes sofa when not in use), retractable table (functions as coffee table, dining table, and bed support), hidden floor and sofa storage spaces, etc.
The spatial configuration covers a living room/entertainment space, sleeping area for two, dining area for four, a kitchen, working space, and a bathroom. The elevated deck is inspired from the Japanese “Genkan” which functions as the transition space /removal of shoes area to avoid bringing in the dirt to the rest of the living space.
